What is your Graduation plan?Minimum Plan- Graduating under the minimum plan will drastically limit your college admission opportunities. Usually this plan will limit you to strictly community college admission
Recommended Plan- If you plan on attending a 4 year University the recommended plan should be considered your minimum graduation plan. With this plan you will have proven your ability to challenge yourself and take high level courses. Distinguished Plan- Competing against some of the best students from around the country is difficult. Understanding GPAGPA stands for Grade Point Average
A GPA is calculated based on your grades at the end of every grading term. At William B. Travis your GPA is constantly changing throughout the year depending on your grades at the end of the semester. When calculating a student’s term GPA, all courses are counted equally on a 4.0 (unweighted) scale. Grade Points awarded A (90%-100%) 4 B (80%-89%) 3 C (70%-79%) 2 D (60%-69%) 1 F (0%-59%) 0 |

Your "Class Rank" is a ranking that represents how your GPA compares to those of every student in your Graduating Class. If you have the highest GPA in your Class you will be considered to have the #1 Ranking
Why is this important? Class Rank is one of, if not THE most important piece of information used by Universities in deciding your admission. In TEXAS your Class Rank can even GUARANTEE you admission. |
