This semester went by so fast, Its almost over and I am getting ready for finals, just the thought of having to study so much material in such little time is nerve racking. My study habits have improved from the first couple of weeks but I still need work. I did pretty good and managed to get pretty decent grades. I realized that college is not that hard as soon as you learn how to manage your time. Although it is hard, it actually pays off too take your time and start assignments ahead of time. You’ll learn quickly that this way you will have more free time than you’d think. I’m not going to lie, I’ve procrastinated a few times, and those times have been the most stressful and tiring nights of the semester. Keeping a positive state of mind with classes and your future in general will help get through the tough times in your college experience. In my experience, not living on campus has not been so bad. I like living in my student apartments, its my little home. Yeah I would have liked living in as dorm but at the same time I know if I did I wouldn’t have been able to get all my work done. Living on campus is a BIG distraction. But sometimes it does kind of get to me and I get a little jealous of not being so involved like the people I see on campus. Even so, I don’t regret any of the decisions I’ve made this semester. With finals around the corner it will soon be over and I am super excited for my month-long winter break! :D

My name is Casandra Maldonado, I graduated Travis May 2012 but am currently attending the University of Texas at Austin. Moving out into student apartments has been an amazing experience. I moved out to grow up, cook for myself, clean after myself and learn that things won't be easy by myself but some how manage to overcome these obstacles. Registering for classes wasn't easy for me I didnt get much choices because i attended orientation so late, so i advise you to get things done on time. However my first day at school was great, college is much more interesting than high school but if you think you read to much in High School you aint seen nothing yet.
